My Work, His Power
Col.1:29 "For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me."
I do love how ESV puts verse 29 - "His energy...He powerfully works within me.
Note: His power and what He is working is not in lieu of my diligent work, ("for this I toil"). Interesting.
A paradox, sure. A contradiction? No, if anything I am encouraged to yield my will to the Potter's hand. In the end, His work is for my work in His work. 2Tim.3:17 "that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
"The apple in June is a perfect apple for June. It is the best apple that June can produce. But it is very different from the apple in October, which is a perfected apple. God’s works are perfect in every stage of their growth."
